A media art performance dealing with the issue of 'relationship,' from the beginning to the era of AI
An integration between Dynamic Projection Mapping and diverse genres of art
About the work
Based on the idea
from the Avatamska Sutra, which sees men as beads caught in the net-like
universe of indrjala, this work is a
performance art piece consisting of performers who are symbolized as beads each
of which possesses its own unique light. The whole of the universe is contained
in one concept, and the its cycle –its creation, establishment, destruction and
disappearance- as well as life and death of men and all human emotions are
symbolized in each individual’s light and its reflection. Moreover, the live
performance portrays not only the connection among human beings but also the
coexistence of men and AI in our era, the ‘links’ of such relations. This
interdisciplinary art project conveys the links and their significance by
strengthening the idea of eternity through the primitive energy of Korean
instrument ‘buk’ and lighting design.
